I received a shipment of 4 different Bird’s Eye Chef’s Favorites vegetable steam bags:
Creamed Spinach
Primavera Vegetable Risotto
Roasted Red Potatoes and Green Beans
Mushroom and Green Bean Risotto
All of them taste amazing, and we ate them all :), however I wanted to share my experience with the Roasted Red Potatoes and Green Beans.
I have always found red potatoes to be one of the most versatile and easy to cook side dishes. Now, add those with green beans and I’m sold.
Although the vegetable mixture in itself held its own, I wanted to add to it to make a main dish.
I made spaghetti the night before, and I had plenty of bolognese sauce on hand.
I decided to simply add some of that sauce, toss it and top it off with freshly shaved parmesan cheese.
This really was a great combination – the meat sauce and potatoes alone combined was great. It made me want to add a creamy toppings like sour cream and Monterey Jack cheese – but a great idea for next time! Have to add that the green beans added a nice bite and flavor.
This easy peasy dinner idea was sponsored by Foodbuzz’s Tastemaker Program , along with Bird’s Eye.
Thanks to both!
